Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
1. Our Commitment
Family Values Group is committed to providing an accessible experience for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is personal to us—one of our founders works non-visually—so we design with real-world use in mind.
2. Standards & Approach
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Our process includes semantic HTML, meaningful link text, keyboard operability, color-contrast checks, and continuous testing as we add features.
3. Current Accessibility Features
- Keyboard navigation: Menus and interactive elements are operable with a keyboard.
- Text alternatives: Informational images include
alttext; decorative images are marked appropriately. - Clear structure: Pages use headings, regions, and labels to support screen readers.
- Contrast awareness: We target WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios for text and essential UI.
- Forms with labels & hints: Inputs are associated with labels and include error feedback.
- Resizable text: Content scales with browser zoom without loss of functionality.
4. Known Limitations
We are actively improving the following areas:
- Legacy images: Some older images may need improved alternative text.
- Third-party embeds: Social media widgets and maps may not fully meet WCAG.
- Focus states: We are standardizing focus outlines across all components for better visibility.
If you find an issue not listed here, please let us know so we can fix it quickly.
5. Browser & Assistive Technology Compatibility
We test with a range of modern browsers and assistive technologies. Our goal is compatibility with:
- Latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge
- Screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA
- Mobile screen readers on iOS and Android
6. Feedback & Help
We welcome your feedback. If you encounter a barrier or have suggestions, please reach out. We try to respond within 2 business days.

7. Requesting an Accommodation
If you need a reasonable accommodation to access information or complete a task (for example, receiving materials in an accessible format or assistance with a form), contact us using the methods above. To help us assist you quickly, please include:
- The page or feature where you had trouble
- Your browser/device and any assistive tech used
- The best way to reach you
8. Third-Party Content
Our site may link to or embed content from third parties (e.g., social platforms, mapping tools). We do not control their accessibility but choose integrations with accessibility in mind whenever possible.
9. Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we expand services in Tennessee and beyond, we regularly review templates, components, and content for WCAG 2.2 AA alignment and real-life usability.
